Sam was born in Asheville, is a 3rd generation Transylvania County resident, and loves that Brevard is his hometown.  He  discovered the exquisite beauty of Natural Stone (granite) years ago and it caught his attention.  He familiarized himself with most of the countertop materials, i.e. quartz, engineered stone, acrylic solid surfaces, and recycled materials but nothing ever “grabbed” him quite like Granite.  Natural Stone (granite) has many patterns, veining, flow, movement, subtlety and drama thus creating actual moods and personalities within the element.  

Sam owes his extensive knowledge and enjoyment with this natural material to the Stone Fabricators organization comprised of fellow fabricators and countertop shop owners.  "Knowledge is Power" describes his daily practice and he raises the bar insofar as heightening the quality of materials crafted for home, office or any other surrounding.   He gets lost in the colors and personalities of each piece and learns new and innovative uses for this material with every piece fabricated.
