Pam is a full-time elementary art teacher by day and an Etsy addict by night.  She took a Papermaking course at Penland, NC  in 1990 and was hooked on the whole process.  She loves the machinery that is used - a hollander beater is the dream machine, however, she uses a drill and paint mixer as well as a blender to make her pulp.   She enjoys making noise with the machinery, the quiet of the water where the pulp is and the rhythmic movements of dipping the mold and deckle in to catch the pulp.

Pam mainly uses abaca fibers as they are easy to obtain and process in her studio.  She has a 12-ton hydraulic press to bond the fibers together into a smooth writing surface for her stationery.  She is constantly working on new products and ideas.
