Dorothy became a resident of Brevard, NC after leaving the Washington, D.C. area and a career in Graphic Art Design & Cartography.  She studied at the Maryland Institute of Fine Art in Baltimore and the University of Maryland.  Shortly after moving to Brevard, she began studying watercolor with Sandra Moore, Sue Connor and other noted artists.

Dorothy is a member of the Transylvania Art Guild and Connestee Art League.  Awards include:  Connestee Art League, various awards in watercolor, Silvermont Summer Showcase Merit Award in watercolor, Silver Arts first place award in watercolor.
